A Night at the Opera (30th Anniversary Coll. Ed) (CD/DVD Combo)
Release Date: November 22, 2005

A special edition release featuring both the new CD and DVD formats of the album completely restored from original analogue tapes and digitally re-mastered by Bob Ludwig, in both stereo and 5.1 surround sound - described as the most from high definition technology by guitarist Brian May.
The DVD also contains brand new video footage for 10 tracks, along with archive audio commentary from all four members of Queen, including the late Freddie Mercury.

Brian May ; "This DVD also features for the first time visuals for every track on the album some, like the original Bohemian Rhapsody video, carefully digitally restored and re-graded, and some, like the stunning new video for Good Company, created especially for this release. There are also some special commentaries, ancient and modern, from all four Queen members on facets of the tracks, and yes, this is quite simply the best Night At The Opera ever produced. I doubt if it can ever be bettered!"

An excellent documentary on the history of Queen. With previously unseen footage of Queen's earlier days it provides glimpses of Queen not seen in other documentaries, behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the music videos, their concerts, and writing of songs. It also has interviews with Queen, their friends and fans. Being VHS there are no hidden features, but its a good one for the avid Queen fan to add to the collection.

Queen: We Will Rock You (Video)
Release Date: May 21, 2001
ASIN: B00004RN1P

This is a re-release as far as I can see as an initial version was available around 1984. The video has some very good tracks and really gets going. The tracklisting is very good and will interest most Queen fans. Some versions do not have 'Jailhouse Rock' however. This video was recorded at the Forum, Montreal, Canada, 24th-25th November 1981. (Little did we know the change in Queen's fortunes exactly 10 years later.)

Tracks Include : We Will Rock You, Let Me Entertain You, Play The Game, Somebody To Love, Killer Queen, I'm In Love With My Car, Get Down Make Love, Save Me, Now I'm Here, Dragon Attack, Now I'm Here, Love Of My Life, Under Pressure, Keep Yourself Alive, Guitar Solo, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Jailhouse Rock, Bohemian Rhapsody, Tie Your Mother Down, Another One Bites The Dust, Sheer Heart Attack, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, God Save The Queen

A Collection of Queen hits from a different viewpoint. The songs are played in a classical style while still retaining the essence of Queen. There are a few classical recordings around but this is quite good.
